User Data Deletion

1. How to request deletion

To request deletion of your Recoy account and associated personal data, email privacy@recoy.ai from the email address associated with your Recoy account.

Use the subject line Data Deletion Request and state that you would like your Recoy account and associated personal data deleted. If you used Facebook Login, Apple, or Google to access Recoy, you may mention that sign-in method in your request.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a deletion request in order to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.

2. What happens after a verified request

After verifying your request, Recoy will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account from active systems as appropriate, subject to applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, and operational requirements.

This may include account and profile information, authentication identifiers associated with Recoy, private conversation content, personal memory, relationship data attributable to your account, feedback, and other information you provided to Recoy.

Some information may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, or other systems until those records are deleted through normal retention processes. We may retain limited information when required by law or when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.

3. Facebook Login

If you connected Recoy using Facebook Login, you may also remove Recoy from your Facebook account through Facebook's Apps and Websites settings.

Removing Recoy from Facebook prevents continued Facebook authorization, but it does not necessarily delete information already stored in your Recoy account. To request deletion of Recoy-stored data, use the email request process above.

4. Other privacy requests

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or portability of personal information. See the Recoy Privacy Policy for additional information.
